"Reform Works" Campaign

Dear Friend and Supporter,

The Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse of Central Texas is building a "Reform Works" Campaign to tell the story of how legal reforms here have benefited real Texans and real Texas employers - including hospitals, physician practices and other employers small and large.

Texas began passing meaningful legal reforms in the mid-1990s that have injected a healthy dose of common sense and fairness into our legal system. Over the years, we've heard from community and business leaders, physicians, hospital workers and others about the benefits they've experienced because of our improved legal climate. Many can point to specific changes or improvements they have been able to make within their own organization because of the financial savings they've reaped as a result of our improved litigation climate.

We want to capture these stories for the "Reform Works" Campaign that we will kick off in the Fall of 2009. As part of this campaign, we will capture video testimonials about the benefits of reforms that will be shared with the public and posted on our local website.

Would you consider being a part of this campaign? We would appreciate talking with you about the changes and benefits you've seen in your business or practice because of Texas' improved legal climate and setting a time to capture your thoughts and stories for a video testimonial. We will tape testimonials in late August and September and you will not have to travel to participate. You will have the ability to approve your testimonial before it is shared publicly. If you had rather submit a written opinion or testimony, we will utilize those in the campaign as well.
