Dallas Cowboys employees settle lawsuit over 2009 practice facility collapse

Two Dallas Cowboys employees seriously injured in the collapse of the team's Valley Ranch practice facility last year have settled their lawsuit against companies owned by team owner Jerry Jones.

An attorney for Rich Behm and Joe DeCamillis said the companies agreed to pay each of his clients $5 million in cash and benefits. That's on top of the collective $24 million settlement Behm and DeCamillis reached earlier this year with the companies that designed and built that tent-like structure.

An attorney for the Jones companies could not immediately be reached for comment Monday.

The 86-foot-tall practice facility fell apart during a thunderstorm in May 2009 in the middle of a rookie camp. About 70 people were inside. Twelve were injured. Scouting assistant Behm was paralyzed below the waist. Special teams coach DeCamillis suffered a broken neck but was not paralyzed.
