August 24, 2009
AUSTIN, Texas - Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse (CALA) of Central Texas today announced the launch of its new website. The user-friendly site highlights the group's mission, provides insight into the cost and consequences of lawsuit abuse, serves as a guiding point to other resources dedicated to promoting a civil justice system based on common sense and fairness, and offers information on how to get more involved in supporting legal reform efforts in your community.
"The launch of our new website is a welcomed next step in the effort to raise awareness about lawsuit abuse and its impact on all of us - from consumers to workers and from taxpayers to employers - in Central Texas and across the state. We're also excited to be on Facebook and Twitter, using these social media tools to reach new audiences with our news and information," said Stephanie Gibson, Central Texas CALA executive director. "Our site now offers access to expanded content as well as streaming media. It is fresh, clean and easy to navigate."
"We hope that our site will provide useful information to visitors on how lawsuit reform affects them, their business, and their future."
Featuring high-quality videos, news, and testimonials that will be continually updated, the Web site will help make the CALA's extensive resources more attractive and accessible to all consumers.
